More Field Trips

Ryan and I went to Rapunzel at the Scera Theatre, and to the Farm at Thanksgiving Point.

Incoming picture overload!

Oh my heck!  Do they get cuter?

The REALLY Extended Chandler Family Reunion

We were so excited we could make it to the reunion this year.  We were the lucky ones that got to stay with Grandma and Grandpa Chandler.  Tony was gone shooting rock-chucks for most of it, but we still had a blast! Seriously, we got there at 5:30 pm, and by 8:00 he'd already gone out twice.  Each for an hour.  Moderation, Tony.  He went out the next morning too. I think somebody misses the farm...poor farm boy stuck in the city.  Jace was thrilled with it though, because he got to shoot them too!

At the luncheon, we had some pictures taken.  There really aren't that many people missing.  Just Amy's family and some missionaries.

It would've been better to get a video of us trying to get these kids to smile. HILARIOUS!  The parents were laughing so hard we were crying.  The kids did NOT want to be there!

We had a nice dinner that night where we showed a slide show of picutres of us with Grandma and Grandpa.  The best I could contribute was an old wedding picture, so I finagled my way into getting a better one while we were there.

I'm pretty sure Jace is going to treasure this picture forever!  He absolutely idolizes Grandpa Chandler :)

This trip was also during Tony and my 13th Anniversary.  We celebrated it the next Monday, though, and Tony brought me flowers!  Happy 13th, Handsome!

The Walk-a-thon

I think this was supposed to be some sort of fund raiser???  I sure didn't pay for my kids to walk laps. They didn't have you pay an amount per lap, it was just supposed to be a flat donation.  Kindof weird!  Yeah, I didn't pay.

I didn't walk with Jace, because, well, mom's are embarrassing.  Being the incredible "in-tune with my children" mother that I am, I let him walk without holding my hand.  It hurt my feelings though. ;)

This little thing was amazing.  I found her after she'd been walking a bit and challenged her to run it the rest of the time with me.  She ran over 2 miles with me!  It wasn't even hard for her either.  She was running backward with her friends, sprinting forward to catch people, but never stopped.  I'm thinking my kids need to start running with me more often.  We'll try it out this summer!

My cute Kent.  His walk-a-thon was later in the day, so I went home, and then came back later...without my camera.  I had a friend take this for me.  He was hilarious. He was running, walking, weaving, climbing, who knows really.  He was just moving like always. I tried to walk with him, but I was either in front or behind him the whole time. Pacing is just not really his thing...

Good job kiddos!

Distracted Mother

I recently went on a week-long family history spree.  I was so distracted that apparently, I missed this....
He decided to use his stamp set he got for Christmas.  If you look closer, the ink splotches resemble dinosaurs :)

Hope of America

The fifth grades in our school district perform at the Marriott Center every year.  It was such a fun program!  We loved getting to see Jace.  He told me I HAD to take a picture of the flag because he couldn't see what it would look like when he was inside it.

And of course I did what they were hoping we wouldn't.  I got up close and personal to get a picture.  I couldn't see him from where I was, OKAY!

Grandma and Jasen came to watch it with us.  Kent was thrilled to get some one-on-one with G-ma!

Good job, Baby Jace!

Birthday Girl

For Erica's odd year B-Day, she chose Ellery to come stay with us on the weekend before her birthday.  We went to a movie and Golden Corral.  My kids pick good places, right?!

Can I just say how easy it is to take my kids to movies these days. Seriously!!  I don't have to take anyone out, keep anyone quiet, or stuff any toddlers full of candy so they don't cry through the whole thing.  So Easy!

I don't think I'd really seen Erica blush up until this.  You can kind of tell, but by the time she sat back down from them singing to her, she was BRIGHT RED!

On the actual big day, G-ma and G-Pa Smith came to celebrate with us :)

NINE candles!  Way too old!

My baby, Jace, is one of the most tender hearted kids there is. He tries to get gifts for everyone on their birthday.  Jace found this scooter broken in a dumpster (yeah, we teach 'em to dumpster dive).  He fixed it, found an old Styrofoam helmet, painted that, and then gave Erica her gift.  That's my boy!

And of course, no birthday is complete without a spankin'.

Happy Birthday to my BMDF!
(We made that up cuz' we're cool like that...In case you haven't deciphered it yet, it means Best Mom and Daughter Forever.  Yup, we're cool)

General Conference Games

Tony and I have made it a rule that our kids have to listen to at least one full conference session.  As they get older, they listen to more.  Jace was a bit more involved this time.

On Saturday, we have them listen for a bit, but Sunday we try to keep them close by the entire day.  We make it fun with Conference games like Bingo or coloring pages.  I still think they're adorable!

Sometimes it gets a bit goofy, but we try to make it fun!
