We went with most of my family...we missed you Ben, Matt, and families...to the funnest camping place which I will not reveal for selfish purposes. There was golfing, fishing, swimming, a playground, paddle boats, canoeing, 4-wheeling, and we were not right in the middle of a city even though it sounds like it. It was so fun! My side of the family hasn't done a lot of camping trips together since we've all married off, so hopefully this is the beginning of more to come!

Catching tadpoles!! EWWWW! We even came home with a new pet toad. UGH!

Hanging Out At Camp

Playing At The Lake

Some well deserved R & R

What a great trip!!
That looks amazing, Carrie! I love family getaways like that. Your kids are all so dang cute and I can't believe how tiny you still are after having 4 kids!
ReplyDeleteYes, I am ready for another GNO - I hope we get to do it soon!!
So, I know you don't want to reveal the name of the campsite, but I would LOVE to know where it is since I'm in charge of my family reunion next summer and am desperately looking for a place to have it!! :)

ReplyDeleteSorry, I didn't mean to sound very serious about it. I was just playing. I would love to tell you. It was at Palisade State Park by Manti. It's a really small lake, but it's quiet and laid back with no motors allowed, and the best part is that all of the men don't have to sit around camp and watch the kids with us. They got to go golfing so they weren't bored. If you wanted to involve the whole family, you could have the kids go to the driving range. It's really a fun place. My family reserved one of the group sites. It's big with a pavillion for all the meals. It was I think $75 or $80 a night for everyone. I think there are two group sites. I like this one because it wasn't sitting right next to the water so I didn't have to worry about any toddlers just wandering off and drowning without giving me any time to know that they were gone. Ours was still pretty close, but it would've taken them about a minute to make it instead of 2 seconds. It's not exactly camping in the mountains though because everything is paved, but there are nice bathrooms with free showers!! Good luck with the family reunion! I'm in charge this year with my husbands family.
