Itty-Bitty Baseball

We signed Ryan up to play Baseball this year.  He was so excited because he would get to go with Christian Everett.  The only problem was, when we got there, Christian wasn't on his team.  So as he mozies on over to be with his team, who does he see? His cousin!  Parker was on his team.  Brittney and I didn't even know we'd both signed them up.
Cute little people!

I finally pulled my camera out on the last day, and what do you know, they're not playing baseball anymore. Just ring-around-the-rosy.  So, yeah, I didn't catch your big home run you made on film buddy.  Sorry about that!

Ruby Red

Erica was in a school play at the end of the year.  Actually, it was just a little class play.  The parents didn't even come.  Except me...because I do that!  She was Ruby Red, the news caster.  Erica loves being in plays.  We signed her up to be in a musical theater workshop this summer too, so hopefully she gets her fill.  Her time is so filled up with gymnastics, it's hard to find time to do anything else.

She especially enjoyed memorizing her parts.  Way to go toot-toot!  She loves that nick-name ;)

The Tooth Fairy's Favorite Family!

We took some visits to the Dentist before school got out so that I'd only have to take two at a time.  Jace's teeth were fine, Erica's too, Ryan's too...

They let him do his own sucky thing :)

But not poor Kenters!  Actually when I made the appointments, it was a bit of an Emergency visit.  Kent told me that his tooth hurt, so I looked at it there in the back, and what do you know?  The stinkin' thing has a massive hole in it!  So when we got to the the dentist, they said it had to be pulled, and then he'd just wait for the permanent tooth to come in a couple years later.  He also had two cavities.  I brush his teeth, I promise!  I obviously just don't look very closely at back molars with holes!

The gift for the Tooth Fairy.  Luckily, she was extra generous to the poor guy!

Can you see that hole?  The brown?  Poor guy.  No wonder he said it hurt!

We went back later to get the spacer in and they asked if he had any more teeth that hurt.  He said yes!   They did another X-Ray, and apparently he has a permanent molar growing up into a baby tooth.  Not a tooth that it's going to replace, but the one next to it.  It has practically shoved it out of the way and created a shelf in it where it sits and hurts him while it grows into it even more.  So, hooray, he gets to have that baby tooth pulled soon too!  Yay! He's hoping the Tooth Fairy might be even more generous this time!

Kickin' It

Jace played soccer again this spring and has been great at it.  We've loved watching him play.  He has big plans to play football this fall and then play soccer again next spring.

Jace and his great team!
(Of course, by the time I got my camera out, they were just about to start taking the silly pictures.  I hate those!  Who really knows a great face to pull that you're not going to regret later??!)

The final product.  Weirdos!

A clip of Jace's game.  Not any great moments, but hey, at least I turned the camera on for a bit!

Gymnastics Exhibition/Pre-School Graduation/Father and Sons/Girl's Night

This was the weekend that I cried. Actually, it was the weekend before this that I cried because I found out about this weekend.  On Friday at 5:00 pm, Erica had her once-a-year Gymnastics Exhibition.  At 5:30, Ryan had his pre-school graduation, and that night was also Father and Sons (also resulting in the night Erica and I look forward to all year as our Girl's night).  I was in tears because I didn't know how I was going to fit it all in and not leave anything out, because I love it all!

This is how it all went down.  Made it to Erica's Gymnastics Exhibition at 4:59.  Saw her vault, bars, and beam routine.  Then it was time for me to go t the next event, so I hurried and threw her in with the group doing their floor routine and got to see it before I left.  Wahoo!  I fit it all in!

The combined team floor routine

I can't get the video to upload, so here is a snapshot.  Erica had just gotten a quadruple back-handspring earlier in the week, and did a triple for us in this routine.  Awesome!

And, complements of dad's phone while I was gone, the award!

Then came Ryan's pre-school Graduation.  I made it only 10 minutes late, and got to see the last 20.  Grandma Smith came with me too while Dad and the boys stayed at gymnastics.

Getting his diploma

The cool glasses he colored for his program.  Dude!

When it was over, we went home, sent off the boys, and Erica and I started our girl's night.  We went out to Texas Roadhouse, gave each other pedicures, and then watched a movie with some delicious kettle corn in a fort that we'd made. You can see why we look forward to it all year.

...and then the day was over!

Happy Mother's Day to Me!

Ryan had a special mother's day program at his preschool.  He brought me treats, gave me flowers, drew me a picture, and just plain ol' tried to spoil his momma.  So cute!

My photography was very impromptu, but here he is bringing me my treat.  Look at that face!  So excited!

That day was hilarious!  I was watching Becky's kids for a while because she and Mark were on a vacation, and so I brought Owen with me to this Mother's day date thing.  I had just enough time to go at 2:30, let Ryan play, leave early at 3:10, pick up Kade and Cole from school in Lindon at 3:30, and be back in time to take Erica to her first Activity days with her new group at 4:00....it didn't work.

Owen, I'm just going to say it. You'll laugh about it later.  The second we finished the treat, we went outside to do some activities and Owen made "the face".  The "I'm just going to try not to look like I'm peeing my pant's face."  I had just taken him potty 30 minutes before too.  So...down the tube went staying to play at the party, down the tube went picking up Kade and Cole on time, and down the tube went making it to Activity days.   But....Trudy saved me.  I called her from preschool with a big fat S.O.S.  Help!  She picked up the boys while I went home and bathed Owen.  By the time my kids got home from school, I had him clean, took Erica to activity days, and then Tony went and picked up Becky's boys from Trudy's house after work.  This sounds like it was easy to work out, but NO, it wasn't. It all worked out in the end, but honestly, it was a tricky moment!  Owen, you'll think it's funny later.

No Words

I'm honestly and truly not sure why I was taking pictures of Kenters, but whatever, he's cute!  I think it was because I'd made chili, and he wanted to show me he was "in heaven" eating it!  Love him!
